Due to the fact that we have already been working on the reduction of environmental consequences for several years, the main improvement potentials have been exhausted. However, there still remain many small, and some larger, improvement possibilities to be achieved which must then be adapted in operational changes.
Since we have decided against a renewed certification of our environmental management according to the German Institute for Standardization ISO 14001:04, we have instead taken part in 2008 competition "Office and Environment" by the environmental Federal Ministry. Notwithstanding the basic "Certificate of Approval" for 2008, we will certainly win the prize for "Germany´s Most Ecologically Friendly Office" with the next participation |

The collection and decontaminating of valuable materials concerning the paper bank within the scope of the weekly delivery tour has been established and put to use well. From the accumulated money in 2008 all employees were enabled to eat tasty pizza twice .
We were able to solve our coffee problem (organic cultivation+fair trade+good price) with the help of the Westend Rösterei in Berlin-Kreuzberg. In addition we can now support a small regional coffee supplier.
Also the purchase of organic milk, instead of conventional milk, works up to 90% (depending on the employee making the purchases). |
